Projects

These projects address three areas of composite manufacturing: autoclave process simulation, AFP sensing and instrumentation, and multiscale resin-infusion modeling. Each case study presents the project objective, personal responsibilities, technical methods, results, and remaining development work.

Autoclave modeling

Coupled simulation of autoclave airflow, part–tool heat transfer, and composite cure in CONVERGE.

AFP sensing & experiments

Temperature-recording experiments, a custom thermocouple carrier, and a multisensor monitoring dashboard.

Infusion / TPS

Three-scale resin-infusion CFD and cure-dependent material modeling for woven thermal protection systems.
